Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized in order to transport materials and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single person.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Equipment should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop in order to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be at the center to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the thrust could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
