In order to be a successful model, a lift truck needs to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for many hours of use. It needs to be able to transport cargo quickly and effectively as well. The machinery should be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain needs the power to continually offer great durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with strong gears and really tough shafts. The transmission, engine, drive and steer axle are all isolated so as to reduce vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum repair or adjustment. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15% stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching which automatically adjusts so as to lessen maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. As well, the auto deceleration feature lessens brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is engineered for added strength with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are entirely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle lessens wear and increases toughness.
Yale had made lots of ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These kinds of machines would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
