JLG Telehandlers Nebraska
John L. Grove chose to stop working after spending many years working side by side with his brother to establish their crane manufacturing company into a world leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip using their R.V. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment.
John spent much of the time in the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates that the Groves were visiting on their journey. Tragically, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a type of equipment which could quickly and safely hoist people into the air in order to carry out maintenance and construction work.
John decided to take action after John and his wife returned from the trip. He began a partnership with two dear friends when they purchased a small metal fabrication business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During the year 1970, with an original crew of 20 staff, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Many components of the basic design elements of that first machinery are still being integrated into the present machines
The company has come a really long way ever since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown significantly ever since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Lots of innovative products are designed to help clients be more productive and work safer.
JLG has remained committed to being the leader in the industry. The business takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They try to deliver in performance, along with overall comfort and safety so that the driver could be as productive as possible.
