The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were unreachable by typical jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing efficiency and production.
